How to Plan a Fall Boating Day Trip

Trying to squeeze out the last bit of semi-warm weather even after the kids go back to school?

Day cruising is a great way to get out on a Saturday or Sunday and enjoy the weather before the temperature changes for good!

Day cruising can also be fun for everyone – you can fish, picnic, or even just sail around if a quiet, lazy day is more your speed.

Here are some things to remember:

  1. Don’t forget your gear! Prepare for a day on the water and anticipate any activity with these safety items: lifejackets, signaling device, anchor, throwable flotation device, and fire extinguishers.
  2. Also think about how you’ll be spending your time and prepare accordingly. Consider water toys, skis, boards, fishing rods, and cooler.
